Having cosmetic/plastic surgery can be exciting and overwhelming. We understand that the recovery process is often overlooked, and many questions about swelling, pain, and the healing process can sometimes go unanswered. Our goal is to bridge the gap between your surgery and your recovery. Our team is here to guide you through this important process, while working closely with your surgeon to help you obtain maximum results.
Depending on the procedure performed, we will start our sessions within 48 hours (if indicated) with a combination of MLD (manual lymphatic drainage), Ultrasound therapy and infrared light therapy to aid in the healing process.
All treatments will be tailored to each patient's need and adjusted depending on how quickly patient is healing.

MLD (MANUAL LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE)

FIBROSIS TREATMENT
During surgery there is trauma to our lymphatic system which results in swelling. The lymphatic system is responsible for removing waste and toxins from the body. MLD provides more efficient healing from surgery by assisting the removal of excess water and metabolic waste from affected tissue in the body, thus reducing swelling and fluid retention. Less fluid retention helps minimize scar formation. MLD also supports relaxation, helps with pain management, and provides stress relief.
This is a specialized type of treatment that should be performed by a MLD certified specialist.

Post-liposuction fibrosis is the appearance of extra fibrous tissue generated as a result of abnormal tissue formation while healing. In addition, fibrosis swells the surrounding tissues and causes hardening of the area. It can also present as a bruise or painful lumps. Post-lipo fibrosis is a circulatory problem.
There is no way to say who can develop fibrosis, but if you developed it don't worry, fibrosis can be treated at early stage with manual lymphatic drainage or if is more chronic a combination of Lymphatic drainage, ultrasound, and fascia stretches can help to soften the tissue and restore the affected area.

MESOTHERAPY (LIPO DISSOLVE)
Mesotherapy is a non-surgical cosmetic solution aimed at diminishing problem areas such as localized fat deposits. It is administered via numerous microinjections. It has a relatively low treatment time. Areas that can be treated are abdomen, love handles, thighs, arms, back/bra fat, chin, knees.
Some points to consider:
-Some swelling and bruising may occur at treatment area and may last up to 2 weeks
-Sessions will be scheduled 3-4 weeks apart, so please plan accordingly
-High protein diet is recommended for optimal results
-Most desired results will be with 3-5 sessions (depending on patient needs)

ULTRASONIC CAVITATION
Ultrasonic cavitation technology enables concentrated sonic energy to be directed only at localized treatment areas, and is thus capable of selectively disrupting the subcutaneous fat cells through thousands of microscopic implosions impacting the fat cell membranes. After the breakdown of adipose tissue (fat cell membrane), fat is released into interstitial fluid between cells, where it is water- soluble glycerol travels into the circulatory system to generate energy while insoluble free fatty acids enter the liver to be decomposed like any other simple fatty acids.

In this process, the dermis and subcutaneous layer are heated simultaneously, forcing collagen fibers to contract. The contracting fibers pull on and tighten the skin, creating an immediate effect. Fibroblasts’ metabolism also increases, producing new collagen fibers which last long- term. RF energy enters the deeper dermal layer, causing the dermis to thicken. This decreases wrinkle depth and leaves skin firmer with increased, lifted contour. As a result of radiofrequency’s skin stimulating effects, original collagen proteins become stronger to increase the production of new collagen proteins.

· Always follow the instructions of your doctor, for use of control garments after your surgery.
